Restaurant Guide

Chattanooga’s dining scene is just THE BEST and the city supports its locally owned and operated restaurants.  With menus that feature regional ingredients and creative chefs behind the scene, there is something yummy for anyone who enjoys a great meal and friendly surroundings. Here are some of the Inn’s current favorites, and we hope you will enjoy trying these or any of the many other fine dining places here in “nooga.”

Downtown Chattanooga

Boat House: Not downtown but only minutes away and directly ON THE RIVER – interesting and tasty menu, great drinks, love the oysters on Mondays (half-price) and the wood grilled veggies (ask for fresh lemon wedge on the side).

Alleia: Main street area, closest you can get to a European experience at the table when ordering up the Antipasto Platter. Complimentary valets take excellent care of you so no problems with parking. Bar continues to surprise me with some exotic sounding offerings that are worth trying.

Slick’s: Burgers, fries, brews – ’nough said. (Main street eatery scene)

Blue Orleans: Cajun/Creole. If you want to go to Bourbon Street District but don’t have a plane ticket to Louisiana, just take a bite of their delicious cuisine, close your eyes and pretend!

Hennen’s: Steaks, steaks, steaks, salmon, steaks -near the Aquarium. “Go-to” place for locals wanting-guess what? An excellent steak!

Public House: Go check the menu, get there early enough when the weather is great to sit outside. The only way to describe it is “elevated southern.”

Urban Stack: Bologna sliders, other excellent bar food, and brew selection.

St. John’s Restaurant: It’s our number one place to celebrate those very, very special moments. You will feel like royalty the whole time you are there. Worth every cent to experience it!

The Daily Ration: Tiny menu, but everything there is just so good.  Located in the neighborhood section of North Chatt on Hixson Pike.  Check out their menu online – our favorites are the kimchi reuben and asian lettuce cups.

Lookout Winery: Just outside of town off I-24 going West from town (toward Nashville).  Wine pairings with wood-fired pizzas and excellent ingredients. Big confession – I haven’t been yet, but our Inn Guests keep coming back and are very glad they took the time to go there. It is about 20 minutes from town and keep in mind they are on CENTRAL time. Breathtaking views no extra charge!
