THE SUPER-BOWL OF ROMANCE
Valentine’s Day, 2016…Where have the first six weeks of the New Year gone?? (This year is almost 10% gone) Thank God for busy days, though, because busy days mean that there are people wanting to come to Chattanooga, and, specifically wanting to stay at the Mayors Mansion Inn.
Valentine’s Day has been fun this year. With the holiday falling on Sunday, we’ve had folks celebrating from Thursday and thru Monday. Speaking of last Thursday, we had a wonderful group of “Ballroom Dancers” who came for a nice seated dinner in our ballroom. They followed up after dinner with demonstrations of various types of dance, and were part of a larger group of dancers in town for a convention.
Anyway, the Inn has been full of guests attending . I’m sure everyone left feeling closer to their significant other. I’m attaching a couple of pictures: the picture of two “older” people is me and my beautiful bride, Cindi, as we celebrated with some of our guests last evening.
The picture of the “youngsters” is of our daughter, Laura, and her husband, Kevin. Having been married for a little over a year now, they are battling the worst form of leukemia and have been since around September of 2015. Kevin’s sister was a perfect match for bone marrow transplant, that process has just been completed and the next few months will be spent mostly in isolation until his immune system is fully back on-line. I share this because I know there will be people who read this who believe in the power of prayer and we covet those prayers on their behalf. Thanks for reading.
Sincerely,
Mark
