WHAT DO QUILTERS AND IRONMEN HAVE IN COMMON? SEPTEMBER IN CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE!

Quilts on display in exhibitionWith cooler weather on the way next month, Chattanooga takes needle to cloth and rubber to the road for everyone to have a reason to come and spend time in the Scenic City.  September 14 to 17 the quilters come to visit and we still have rooms available.  Ironman weekend begins September 23 and the race is on September 25.

There are still a couple of rooms available for this weekend as well. Another 4 miles of brand new Riverwalk to bike or stroll gives you choices, choices, choices when you come to play.  Speaking of choices, we know you have many when it comes to lodging, A stay at the Mayor’s Mansion Inn is another way to add charm and fun to your trip.  There is parking right outside the door, a full 3 course breakfast, great romance packages to add to your stay and a friendly staff to give you suggestions for any number of things to do while you stay with us.

Southern Eggs BenedictSeptember gives all of us a chance to enjoy Chattanooga’s local restaurant scene with dining al fresco and seasonal ingredients.  Recent trips to the Flying Squirrel, the Feed and 1885 Grill in St. Elmo have confirmed what we already knew here at the Mansion–this little city has some great cuisine and creative chefs.

Summer 2016 food hits have been Kristen’s Buttermilk Pies, Uncle Markie’s Southern Eggs Benedict, Peaches and Cream French Toast and our Zucchini-Brie Mini Bakes.  With Fall coming (we promise, it’s getting here) there will be new dishes to try and the delicious smells of apples, cinnamon, ginger and baked breads coming from our kitchen. We hope you will be here to tell us what you think.
